What is UPMC AnywhereCare?
UPMC AnywhereCare is a virtual visit platform where you and your family can access high-quality care from your mobile device or computer 24/7 — right from the comfort of your home.
If you are eligible, you can also use UPMC AnywhereCare to talk with a licensed pharmacist about your medications; get personalized guidance from a health navigator to help you make informed decisions and connect with resources; schedule an appointment with a board-certified health coach to improve your well-being; or find resources to help you address stress, anxiety, depression, and other issues that are affecting you. *Members who are in Pennsylvania at the time of a virtual visit may select a UPMC-employed provider, subject to availability and discretion of the provider. Members located outside of Pennsylvania at the time of service or those who select Talk Therapy or Psychiatry services will receive care from a provider employed or contracted by Online Care Network II PC (OCN), also known as Amwell Medical Group. It is at the discretion of OCN providers to choose whether to treat patients ages 0 to 2. OCN is not an affiliate of UPMC. Limitations may apply for members of ASO plans who have opted out of coverage. Talk Therapy or Psychiatry services through AnywhereCare are not covered services for UPMC Community HealthChoices participants, UPMC for You members, or UPMC for Kids members. UPMC Children’s AnywhereCare is not available outside of Pennsylvania. If a member is under the age of 18, the member’s parent or legal guardian must be with the member during the video portion of the visit, and the child and parent or legal guardian must be in Pennsylvania during the visit. Providers are not available to treat members who are in Puerto Rico.
What conditions can I get treatment for using UPMC AnywhereCare?
Treatment is available for minor injuries and illnesses, including but not limited to:
- Bronchitis and coughs.
- Cold and flu symptoms.
- Diarrhea.
- Pink eye.
- Rashes.
- Seasonal allergies.
- Sinus infections.
- Tick bites.
- Urinary tract infections.
- Vaginal yeast infections.
- Other common ailments.
*Please note: You must be 18 or older to use UPMC AnywhereCare. If you are pregnant, you must be within the first trimester of pregnancy (less than 14 weeks) to receive urgent care services from a UPMC AnywhereCare provider. UPMC for You members must be 3 years old or older to use urgent care on UPMC AnywhereCare. UPMC providers and OCG providers may, at their discretion, conduct a visit for patients under age 3.
Can children be seen through UPMC AnywhereCare?
Yes! UPMC AnywhereCare offers an urgent care service called UPMC Children’s AnywhereCare. This service allows newborns to 17-year-olds to be seen by UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh providers for non-emergency health conditions. A parent or legal guardian must be with the child during the virtual visit. For more information, please see the UPMC AnywhereCare terms and conditions page.
How much do UPMC AnywhereCare visits cost?
Virtual urgent care visits cost $0 to $67 for UPMC Health Plan members, with most members paying $5 to $15 for a visit. For nonmembers, the cost of a virtual visit is $59 to $67. Behavioral Health Talk Therapy and Psychiatry are accessible for eligible UPMC Health Plan members. The cost will vary based on their insurance copay amount.
Other no-cost services are available for eligible UPMC Health Plan members (including students) and UPMC employees and their spouses.

Can I use UPMC AnywhereCare anytime?
Yes! You can have urgent care visits through UPMC AnywhereCare 24/7/365. Other services are available based on hours of operation and/or provider schedule availability. For more information, please see the UPMC AnywhereCare terms and conditions page.
How do I access UPMC AnywhereCare?
You can download the app from the App Store or Google Play™ by searching for “UPMC AnywhereCare.” You can also register at UPMCAnywhereCare.com from your mobile device or computer. You must create an account to use the service. If you’re having trouble, contact UPMC AnywhereCare Technical Support by calling 1-833-716-8447 or emailing help@myupmc.com.
Can I access UPMC AnywhereCare while I’m traveling?
Yes! You can use this service anywhere within the United States. (Providers are not available to treat members who are in Puerto Rico.) If you are outside Pennsylvania, the care will be delivered by a provider employed or contracted by Online Care Network II PC.
